Piano and keyboard

The most popular instrument for beginners, easy to start playing, challenging to master. Great foundation for learning to read music and understanding music theory. Extremely versatile – learn classical, contemporary, jazz, pop, blues – piano has the greatest range of music written for any instrument. Great for accompanying singing.

Learn for ABRSM or Trinity grades, or Rockschool, or Jazz Piano, or learn in a more informal way, learning chord theory and shapes, or songs and pieces

Suitable for the youngest beginners, age 5 upwards – no upper age limit!

Buying or hiring a piano doesn’t have to be a major investment, but you will need space – the average acoustic piano will be between 85cm to 150cm tall and about 150cm wide. Digital pianos will be smaller. We are very happy to advise you on buying and hiring options in South London – contact us
